- The south east direction in a space is related to the fire element. The fire element is responsible for cash flow, confidence, fame, digestive fire in the body and protection from outside attacks – to name a few. Imbalances in this area in the form of opposing colours like blue or black can lead to problems in the areas of life related to the fire element. If you have blue or black colour – on walls, curtains, furniture etc – then have the colour changed or relocate the objects.
Good colours for the south east are red, maroon, pink, orange, peach, green, brown. AVOID blue, black, grey, in this zone. - Avoid placing plants or having wood flooring in the south west direction of your space. It can lead to problems in your relationships. You can place plants in the eastern and northern directions of the space.
- One must not consider the directions separately for each individual room in the home. The directions are to be considered for your entire net usable space – with respect to its center. So there is only one north east (Ishan) or southwest (Nairitya) in the entire space. Not one north east or southwest for each room.
- Colours are very important as they represent the elements. Having a wrong colour in any direction can cause serious problems. The most suitable colours can be suggested only after proper analysis of the space and its proportions. In absence of such guidance – a safe (neutral) colour to choose can be off-white. It would not cause harm.
- Most important things to consider while choosing a new property. The main entrance should not be in the south west. Avoid toilets in the south west. The north east is a very important direction. There should be NO toilets, kitchen, fire or beds located in the north east. The center of the space should be free of toilets, pillars, staircase, fire etc. The south and west sides should not be lower than the north and east sides.
